A massive sinkhole has torn apart a street in San Francisco.

Jean Walsh, from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, said its just one of several road repairs over the last week.

"We are looking into that. But sometimes they just have so many repairs to make that they'll just simply make the street safe temporarily until they can get in to do a major project." she said.

Storms have caused damage in other areas of California, too.

In Boulder Creek, wild winds uprooted tree and major caused damage to homes.

In Red Bluff, a school bus was also stranded after it became stuck in flash flooding.
