Police are investigating the discovery of what are believed to human remains in Western Australia's Kimberley region near the Northern Territory border.
The remains were found just before 5.30pm on Wednesday in an area of land off the Victoria Highway in Kununurra.
Major crime squad detectives and specialist forensic officers are travelling from Perth to investigate.
