Hard-running centre Konrad Hurrell is in doubt for the Warriors' NRL match against Melbourne this weekend after a training ground injury.

Hurrell hurt his right shoulder in Auckland on Tuesday while falling awkwardly as he dived on a loose ball and didn't complete the session.

Coach Andrew McFadden says he's waiting for a report from the club medical staff over the extent of the problem.

"Hopefully it's not too bad," he said.

"Obviously he didn't finish the session so that puts him in some doubt for this weekend."

McFadden said Hurrell's likely replacement if unavailable for the match at Mt Smart Stadium on Sunday would be David Fusitu'a, who had been in good form in the NSW Cup.
