Hurricanes duo sign new Super Rugby deals

Outside backs Nehe Milner-Skudder and Matt Proctor have re-signed for Super Rugby front-runners the Hurricanes until the end of 2017.

Elusive outside backs Nehe Milner-Skudder and Matt Proctor have re-committed to Super Rugby leaders the Hurricanes until the end of 2017.

Coach Chris Boyd says the pair, both local products of the Hurricanes franchise, will be key members of the team's future.

"It's no secret that both of these guys are exciting talents," he said.

"Nehe and Matt will form part of a continuation of a powerful back three combination."

Fullback Milner-Skudder, 24, made his Super Rugby debut this season and has been impressive with his ability to break the defensive line.

"It's been a great year so far," he said.

"This team has such a strong brotherhood and I'm grateful that I've been given the opportunity to continue to be a part of it."

The 22-year-old Proctor, who plays fullback and wing, said he was enjoying the challenge of making the most the chances he got in a squad laden with All Blacks backs.

"We've got some great talent here at the Hurricanes and I think that is only going to help me continue to grow as a player."
