Polish-born Darius Wlodarski, 41, was the first to get his hands on the new iPhone 6 at the Apple store in Bristol, after waiting for almost two days for it's release.
“Normally it should be a great day but it’s not so great for me today even though I have the new iPhone 6,” Wlodarski said.
He bought the iPhone for his wife who left him a month ago after 20 years of marriage.
“I didn’t know, you know, how family is important to me. So I did so many things wrong, so I want to say sorry to my wife and daughter that I wasn’t as good as I could,” Mr Wlodarski said.
“I got iPhone for my wife because she wanted it. The first iPhone I bought for her she was so happy, I was telling her for a year that she will be happy she couldn’t believe eventually when she get it she was happy,” he said.
Wlodarski hopes the new iPhone will bring her happiness and to trust him again someday
“I wanna say maybe one day you realise ... I could be good again. I don’t know, maybe you can trust me again. So sorry,” Wlodarski added.
