Days out from the painful anniversary of William Tyrrell's disappearance in NSW, person of interest Bill Spedding has released a homemade video denying any involvement.
Spedding remains a person of interest in the missing toddler case after William, then aged three, vanished from his grandmother's front yard in Kendall on September 12, 2014.
With increased media attention surrounding the case this week, Mr Spedding posted the grainy video online on Wednesday.
"I wish to state that I have had no involvement whatsoever in the disappearance of William Tyrrell," the whitegoods repairman said.
Mr Spedding also said in the video the boy's family had his "sincere commiserations" over the disappearance.
The 63-year-old had two of his properties near Bonny Hills searched in January and items including a mattress, computer and vehicles seized by police.
A later tip-off to police also led to a three-day search of bushland around Bonny Hills in March.
Mr Spedding had visited the house of William's grandmother in the days before and after the disappearance to repair a washing machine, but media reports claimed he had also been due to attend the house the day the boy disappeared.
"I have not been in the Tyrrell house or to the Tyrrell house or the street before, between or after these dates," Mr Spedding said.
"I want to make it perfectly clear that this claim is false."
Following the release of Mr Spedding's video, a police spokesman said: "We are aware of the video and we are not making any further comment on it."
This week police released images of two cars that were in the street outside William's grandmother's house before the disappearance and appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
"It doesn't matter how small that piece of information is, it's like putting together a jigsaw puzzle on this and any information will assist police," Detective Inspector Gary Jubelin said.
