I want ministry full of Nats, Joyce jokes

It's a ministry of multi-Nationals but Barnaby Joyce has joked he'd prefer ministry full of Nationals colleagues.

Barnaby Joyce would have liked to see the entire ministry full of his Nationals colleagues.

But the deputy Nationals leader says their team of six - including himself - in the new-look Turnbull ministry is good enough.

"In my heart of hearts I would have liked them all to be Nationals but that's not what you get ... you have to negotiate and come to a deal," he told Sky News on Monday.
