If NSW want attitude, I'm your guy: Sims

St George Illawarra forward Tariq Sims has again put his hand up for selection for the NSW State of Origin team, declaring he won't take a backward step.

NSW State of Origin candidate Tariq Sims has again pressed his claims for a Blues debut by declaring he will bring the muscle to the NSW side.

Sims is one of a number of players from the competition-leading Dragons in contention to be chosen by new Blues coach Brad Fittler for the opening game of the series on June 6.

"If they want someone that's not going to take a backward step with a bit of attitude and starch in defence, I'm your guy," Sims said on Tuesday.
