Iluka Sept quarter revenue doubles

Mineral sands miner Iluka Resources has reported revenue of $268.5 million for the September quarter, reflecting higher sales volumes.

Mineral sands miner Iluka Resources has more than doubled September quarter revenue, helped by higher prices and increased volumes following its takeover of Sierra Leone miner Sierra Rutile Limited.

Iluka reported revenue of $268.5 million for the three months to September 30, up from $134.2 million a year ago, reflecting the increase in sales volumes.

Production for the quarter also rose, to 293,800 tonnes from 289,100 tonnes a year ago.
