He's played one game in over two months, but returning NSW winger Brett Morris says he knows exactly what it takes to compete at State of Origin level.
Morris was one of two changes announced by the Blues when the team was named for their must-win clash in Melbourne next Wednesday, with Roosters giant Daniel Tupou the man to make way.
Morris made a successful comeback in the Bulldogs' 29-16 win over St George-Illawarra on Monday in what was his first game since injuring his hamstring against South Sydney in Round 5.
But the 28-year-old allayed any fears he was heading into the vital match underdone.
"Obviously with the injury I did a lot of training, a lot of fitness so the fitness is alright. It's just the match fitness," he said on Tuesday.
"But I have played enough footy now over the years to know what I have to do in games so I'm confident I'll be going out there 100 per cent."
The former Dragons flyer enjoyed a solid outing against the Dragons, running for 113 metres, breaking through seven tackles and setting up a try and a line break.
Most importantly, however, Morris said his hamstring had responded well after the match.
"The hamstring pulled up good," he said.
"It was obviously my first game back in a long time but it came through good and I'm very excited to be back in camp with the boys again.
"The Bulldogs' medical staff have done a great job. Obviously when I got injured we had a timeframe and we came up with best case and worst case scenario and it worked out to be the best case in the time I got back on to the field.
"I'll be right into full training but obviously with the game last night there's a few guys who are a bit sore and got a bit of a rehab session in the pool.
"I'll be right to go and I assume most of the boys will be right for every training session."
Tuesday's selection means Morris is set to play his 14th game for NSW after debuting in 2010 and re-unites him with twin brother Josh.
