Immigration detention causing life-long damage to children: Amnesty

Amnesty International has renewed its call for all children to be released from immigration detention following the release of the Australian Human Rights Commission's "Forgotten Children" report.

Amnesty International has renewed its call for all children to be released from immigration detention following the release of the Australian Human Rights Commission's "Forgotten Children" report.

Amnesty says the report reveals that lengthy detention is resulting in widespread, serious and potentially life-long damage to the asylum seeker children's mental health and development.

Amnesty International's Graham McGregor spoke to Zara Zaher about the findings.
