Improved patient access to clinical trials

Patients are set to get easier access to clinical trials and new therapies thanks to a new website.

A new government website is set to make it easier for Australians to participate in clinical trials.

Launched on Wednesday, www.AustralianClinicalTrials.gov.au will give patients information about existing trials, including who can enrol and what's required, and put them in contact with researchers.

Health Minister Sussan Ley says the website will help fill the shortage of patient participation in clinical trials, while giving patients access to new trial therapies.
