India cruise to series win in Zimbabwe

India have sealed the one-day international series against Zimbabwe with an eight-wicket win in Harare.

India have sealed the one-day international series against Zimbabwe with an easy eight-wicket win on Monday.

India won the toss and elected to field then dismissed the hosts for 126 in 34.3 overs, and cruised to victory for the loss of just two wickets.

Zimbabwe was in a relatively good position at 3-106 in the 26th over before legspinner Yuzvendra Chahal claimed the wickets of Sikandar Raza (16) and Elton Chigumbura (0) in successive balls.

In his next over, Chahal got Vusi Sibanda, the leading scorer on 53 and Zimbabwe didn't recover - losing their last six wickets for 20 runs.

India took 27 overs to reach the target for the loss of the openers Lokesh Rahul (33) and Karun Nair (39).

Manish Pandey hit the winning boundary off the next ball with Ambati Rayudu unbeaten on 41.
