India launches 'Akash' tablet

The Indian Government has entered the crowded tablet market at the bottom end, launching what it claims is the world's cheapest tablet computer.

The Akash means sky in Hindi.

It has an 18cm touchscreen, WiFi internet function and a multimedia player.

And it costs less than $50: Sam Ikin has more.
