Bangladesh debutant Taskin Ahmed took 5-28 to shoot India out for a record-low 105 in the second one-day international on Tuesday.
It was India's lowest total against Bangladesh, eclipsing their previous lowest of 191.
Ahmed became the first Bangladeshi bowler to claim five-for on debut. He was aptly supported by senior pacer Mashrafe Mortaza, who returned 2-35. Another pacer Al-Amin Hossain and spinner Shakib Al Hasan bagged one wicket apiece.
In less than 26 overs, India skipper Suresh Raina was the top scorer with 27, while No.11 batsman Umesh Yadav scored 17.
Only two others reached double digits.
Bangladesh won the toss and made India bat in overcast conditions ideal for the seam bowlers.
Ajinkya Rahane was out second ball to Mortaza, and the match was delayed in the sixth over for two hours because of rain, after which it was reduced to 41 overs per side.
