James Anderson is on a hat-trick after England made short work of India's final four first innings wickets.
Anderson will have to wait until India's second innings for his opportunity after taking the final two wickets as the tourists were dismissed within 45 minutes of the start of the second day of the third Specsavers Test at Trent Bridge.
Resuming on 6-307, India were all out for 329 as Stuart Broad took two wickets, to finish with 3-72 and Anderson 3-64.
Drizzle at Nottinghamshire postponed the start time to 11.30am, but England were not unduly delayed.
The second new ball was only seven overs old when England took full advantage as Broad made the breakthrough.
Rishabh Pant managed to add only two runs to his overnight 22 before edging an attempted drive back on to his leg stump.
Ravi Ashwin, riding his luck, was therefore left with the tail, and was dropped by Oli Pope at fourth slip off the next over, bowled by Anderson.
Ashwin lasted just four more balls as an inswinger from Broad uprooted the batsman's middle stump.
India had two wickets remaining, but Broad, at mid-on, caught Mohammed Shami's attempted slog and No.11 Jasprit Bumrah was bowled for a golden duck next ball.
It left England facing an awkward 40 minutes to bat up to lunch in tough conditions.
There was predictably plenty of movement for India with the new ball.
Plenty of luck as well as skill was therefore needed to survive.
Alastair Cook and Keaton Jennings had enough of both to reach lunch on 46 without loss from only nine overs.
