India role for ex-NSW premier O'Farrell

Former NSW Liberal premier Barry O'Farrell has a new role on the board of the Australia-India Council.

Former NSW premier Barry O'Farrell has landed a five-year role building better relations with India.

Mr O'Farrell will serve as the deputy chairman of the Australia-India Council from August.

In his former role he led annual trade missions to India and began the sister state relationship between NSW and Maharashtra in 2012.
