India to play two-day game in Adelaide

A two-day game featuring India will be held at Glenelg Oval this week as the tourists prepare for the rescheduled four-Test series against Australia.

India will play a two-day tour game in Adelaide starting on Thursday.

Cricket Australia has organised the contest at Glenelg Oval to help the tourists prepare for the first Test, which now starts on Tuesday at Adelaide Oval.

India completed a two-day match at the same venue last Tuesday, when Phillip Hughes was felled by a bouncer at the SCG.

Hughes' death led to the cancellation of another warm-up game, which was meant to start at Adelaide Oval last Friday.

Stand-in skipper Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be among India's representatives at Hughes' funeral in Macksville on Wednesday.

An India spokesperson said on Tuesday it was too early to know whether the delayed start to the four-Test series against Australia could bring MS Dhoni into selection contention.

Dhoni was ruled out of this week's Test in Brisbane due to a thumb injury.
