A new Indigenous health centre in Adelaide hopes to produce tangible improvements in chronic illnesses.

It's no secret that indigenous populations experience much higher rates of chronic illness than the rest of society, but what's being done to put research into practice?

 

It's a question a new $2.4 million national Indigenous health centre being established by the University of Adelaide hopes to address.

 

Chief investigator Alan Pearson told Karen Ashford the centre hopes to produce tangible improvements in chronic illnesses like diabetes and heart disease within two years.
