International travellers are again facing possible delays at Melbourne Airport after immigration and border protection staff walked off the job for a second time on Monday.
Community and Public Sector Union members inside the airport's domestic terminal walked off the job at 9pm on Monday and will remain on strike until 1am on Tuesday over enterprise bargaining they say will cut their take-home pay.
CPSU deputy national secretary Rupert Evans said department managers were covering staffing gaps as they had during a stop-work on Monday morning.
He said the 50 or so CPSU members involved in the stop-work regretted the inconvenience to the public.
"This has been going on for 12 months," Mr Evans told AAP.
"We're taking the industrial action because our members face losing wages and conditions that we have fought for, bargained for and negotiated over 20 years, and we're not going to stand by and let those go.
"We call on the federal government to come back to the table and negotiate something fair and reasonable."
An airport spokeswoman said Monday night's strike action has not caused any delays.
Australian Border Force Marine Unit workers will take part in in-port bans through the week as part of the rolling stoppages.
