Influential New Zealand forward Simon Mannering has been ruled out of rugby league's Four Nations with a knee injury.

The former Kiwis and Warriors captain has succumbed to the injury which sidelined him from last week's 26-6 Test loss to the Kangaroos in Perth.

His place in the squad for the Four Nations squad is taken by 20-year-old Penrith forward James Fisher-Harris.
