Interchange rule may help JT: Graham

New interchange rules may ensure Johnathan Thurston has an even bigger impact on the game, World All Stars forward James Graham fears.

World All Stars forward James Graham fears Johnathan Thurston may have an even bigger impact on the game due to new interchange rules to be introduced this NRL season.

This year the number of interchanges will be reduced from 10 to eight in what the NRL hopes will place a greater emphasis on endurance over power.

Graham was wary that it may free up four-time Dally M Medallist Thurston to create even more havoc during North Queensland's NRL title defence.

"I have even heard it is to give the halves a greater impact on the game," he said.

"Funny people would say that because Johnathan Thurston is the best player in the game.

"Is he going to have more influence? I guess we will wait and see."

Graham will feature in Saturday night's All Stars clash at Suncorp Stadium.
