Investigations into gun death in NSW

Investigations have been launched in NSW after a man was spotted with a firearm by police and died shortly after from a gunshot wound.

A critical investigation has been launched after a man died from a gunshot wound in the South West Slopes of NSW.

The man was spoken to by police about 11.45pm on Friday at Young after being spotted with a firearm. Shortly afterwards, he sustained a gunshot wound and died.

No police firearms were discharged, nor were police injured and investigations have begun into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
