Australian rockers INXS have secured the top album spot for a second week, as well as second place, on the ARIA charts this week.

The band's Very Best collection hit No.1 last week following the airing of the first part of Seven Network's INXS mini-series Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story.

The second and final part of the series aired last Sunday, and repeats of part one and part two are set to screen on Monday and Tuesday respectively.

The renewed interest in the band has helped the rockers' 1987 album Kick jump five places to No.2.

The John Butler Trio's new album Flesh & Blood, Bruce Springsteen's High Hopes and the Frozen soundtrack all fell a place, to No.3, No.4 and No.5 respectively, while Adelaide/Melbourne metal group I Killed The Prom Queen's new album Beloved made its debut at No.6.

Country singer Dolly Parton climbed a spot to seventh place with Blue Smoke, while Lorde's Pure Heroine slipped three spots to No.8.

Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP2 returned to the top 10, jumping four places to ninth, and Avicii's True remained at No.10.

On the singles chart, Pharrell Williams' Happy and A Great Big World and Christina Aguilera's Say Something continued to hold No.1 and No.2 respectively.

British electronic group Clean Bandit and Jess Glynne is the big mover at No.3, jumping 12 spots, with their single Rather Be.

Local Joel Fletcher and Savage's Swing remained at No.4, while Avicii's Addicted to You rose two spots to No.5.

John Legend wasn't as lucky - his single All of Me fell three spots to sixth place.

Cash Cash and Bebe Rexha's track Take Me Home climbed a place to No.7, while American musician Sara Bareilles' Brave made its top 10 debut after rising nine places to No.8.

Sweden's Kim Cesarion has also leapt up the charts, with Undressed climbing four spots to No.9.

Rudimental and Emeli Sande's Free fell four spots to round out the top 10.
