Financial services company IOOF's chairman Roger Sexton will retire in November, and will be replaced by George Venardos.

IOOF Holdings chairman Roger Sexton will retire at the annual general meeting in November, after 15 years on the board of the financial services company, the past three as chair.

IOOF, which operates the Shadforth, Lonsdale and Ord Minnett wealth management businesses as well as financial advisory services, said George Venardos, a board member since 2009, will take over as chairman.

Mr Venardos, who has more than 30 years of experience in executive roles in financial services, currently is a director with ASX-listed companies Bluglass and Ardent Leisure Group.
