Iraqi visa hold-up resolved: Bishop

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop says a visa hold-up by the Iraqi government for Australian soldiers has been resolved.

Foreign Minister Julie Bishop is confident Australian soldiers headed to Iraq won't have to face more visa delays.

For a second time troops headed to the Middle East nation have been held up by immigration officials.

"It is a laborious administrative process but it has been resolved and I'm sure that each time we'll be able to streamline it so I'm confident that it won't happen (again)," Ms Bishop told reporters in Canberra on Thursday.
