Ireland's Sexton in doubt for Wallabies

Ireland have been left frustrated after falling to the All Blacks in Dublin and have several injury concerns for next weekend's clash against Australia.

Ireland five-eighth Johnny Sexton is in doubt for next weekend's Test against the Wallabies in Dublin due to a hamstring injury.

The star No.10 suffered the setback in the first half of Ireland's 21-9 loss to the All Blacks at Lansdowne Road on Saturday (Sunday AEDT).

Also under a cloud ahead of the Wallabies Test is flanker CJ Stander, fullback Rob Kearney and inside centre Robbie Henshaw who all face concussion checks.

The Irish came away from the game feeling gutted they let a chance slip to score a second win over the All Blacks after beating them in Chicago a couple of weeks ago.

"We're frustrated and annoyed," said Ireland captain Rory Best.

"But we've got to park a bit of that as well, and make sure we move onto focusing on Australia."

Sexton, who lasted just short of 20 minutes, has battled hamstring problems over the past year.
