Italian football superpower Juventus will play the A-League All Stars in Sydney next year with club legend Alessandro Del Piero a chance of taking on his former side.
The match at ANZ Stadium on August 10 is expected to attract a capacity crowd of 83,000 and follows successful sell-out games in Australia involving Manchester United and Liverpool in 2013.
Del Piero, who is off contract with Sydney FC at the end of this season, is a Juventus legend having played for the Turin club for more than 20 years.
Football Federation Australia chief David Gallop said he was delighted to welcome the Italian side that includes former Manchester United and Manchester City star Carlos Tevez.
"This will be a night to remember. The confirmation of Juventus as the opponent for the A-League All-Stars is another boost to the growing international stature of the A-League," he said.
"The All Stars concept is all about presenting the A-League on the world stage and the presence of Juventus FC in Sydney will guarantee huge domestic and international interest.
"It's also a great opportunity for A-League players and coaches to test themselves at the highest level."
Juventus have won the Italian league 29 times and have been European champions on two occasions.
The club has also been marred by scandal over the past decade, being stripped of two titles and relegated to Serie B in 2006 because of links to match fixing.
On Tuesday, former Juventus chief Luciano Moggi had a jail term for his role in a match-fixing scandal cut to two years and four months after an appeal hearing.
Moggi appealed against the original conviction of five years and four months going back to 2006 before a court in Naples.
