Italy will host minnows Luxembourg in a friendly little more than a week before commencing their World Cup campaign, the Italian Football Federation announced on Tuesday.
"Luxembourg will be Italy's opponents for a friendly on June 4, the team's last test before the World Cup," said a statement by the FIGC.
"The match will be used by coach Cesare Prandelli to gauge the condition of his players a few days before the start of the World Cup."
Italy will face far tougher opponents in World Cup and European champions Spain in Madrid on March 5.
