Jack Miller is promising to be extra vigilant around the final corners at Silverstone this weekend as he aims to consolidate his Moto3 world championship lead.
A mistake on the last turn of the Czech Republic Grand Prix cost the Australian teen victory a fortnight ago and he ended up finishing fifth.
He did, however, manage to extend his advantage atop the overall standings to 23 points going into Sunday's British GP.
Miller said the 5.9km circuit, the longest on the calendar, was well suited to both his style and Red Bull KTM bike.
"It's fast and I like it," he said.
"We will have to pay special attention to the final corners of the circuit, because they are especially difficult."
The 19-year-old scored his best result last season at Silverstone, finishing seventh on a FTR Honda.
But having already won four races and scored two other podiums this year, the Queenslander is eager to improve his record at the track.
"We will have to work hard for it because, as you can see, the championship is very tight and there are many riders fighting for the podium in every race," he said.
"We will try to give our best and try to fight for the win once again."
Qualifying begins at 9.35pm (AEST) on Saturday, with the race at 11.30pm on Sunday.
