Canterbury star Josh Jackson is the front-runner to take out the prestigious Brad Fittler medal in Monday's NSWRL awards night at The Star in Sydney.
Jackson heads a string of strong candidates, including front-rower Aaron Woods and halfback James Maloney, to claim the award voted by Blues players during this year's Origin series loss to Queensland.

Jackson, 25, played in all but ten minutes of the three-game series, totalling a typically whole-hearted 109 tackles on the Blues' right edge.
Only rival hookers Robbie Farah and Cameron Smith made more tackles in the series.
Woods, who has been earmarked to take over from retiring skipper Paul Gallen next year, was the only Blues player to top 100 metres in all three games, amassing a team-high 390 metres.
Reigning medal-holder Josh Dugan is unlikely to claim back-to-back awards after making his sole appearance in the Blues' game three victory in Brisbane.
The Blues' 2-1 series loss was their 10th in 11 years, however they were encouraged by the debuts of eight players, including game three heroes James Tedesco, Matt Moylan and Wade Graham.
