Jacksons working on new album

The remaining members of the Jackson 5 say they are working on a follow-up album to 1989's Jackson street.

The existing members of the Jackson 5 are working on their first new album in 25 years.

Michael Jackson's brothers Jermaine, Marlon, Jackie and Tito reunited as The Jacksons in 2012 to embark on their first tour in almost three decades, and they are currently gearing up to kick off a residency in Las Vegas next week.

Jackie says fans will have even more to look forward to as the brothers have been busy in the studio working on the follow-up to 1989's 2300 Jackson Street.

"I'm so happy all the brothers will be together in Las Vegas. During the day time they can finish recording and then do the shows during the evening time," told Billboard.com.

The veteran singer says they have completed "quite a bit" of the project and he can't wait for fans to hear the results.

"It sounds like (old) Jacksons music, with today's sounds. People still want to hear that Jackson 5 harmony, we can't get away from where we came from. That's what they want to hear. But there's a lot of new flavours we can combine that with."
