Jamaica and England have both secured Netball World Cup semi-finals berths to almost certainly set up showdowns with Australia and New Zealand in Sydney.
World No.3 England wrapped up their spot with a 62-46 win over South Africa on Friday, gradually wearing down the Proteas after a solid start from Norma Plummer's fifth-ranked side.
It means they will almost certainly face on Saturday the world No.2 Silver Ferns - who are expected to easily account for Uganda later on Friday.
Earlier, Jamaica held off a gallant Malawi 63-62, moving them into a clash against the defending world champion Diamonds, who face Wales later on Friday - in the second semi.
Malawi didn't go down without a fight, bringing the same drive and determination that saw them nearly topple New Zealand two days ago.
The Queens surged from behind to within a goal's margin of the Sunshine Girls during the third quarter and maintained the pressure throughout the final term.
"It was a tough game," Jamaica shooter Romelda Aiken said.
"All the African teams stepped it up quite a lot and it was really tough out there."
Aiken said Malawi's push and shove was the most difficult aspect of their game to handle and earned a comparison with the Silver Ferns.
"They always come out to play really hard ... even though we got hit we need to take it and man up and continue with the job," she said.
