Japanese woman dies in Qld jetski accident

A Japanese tourist has died after the jetski she was riding hit a boat in Cairns Marlin Marina.

A Japanese tourist has died in Cairns after her jetski collided with a moored boat.

Police say the incident happened at 9.15am on Thursday in the Cairns Marlin Marina.

Witnesses pulled the 27-year-old woman from the water and paramedics tried to revive her, but she died at the scene. Police are investigating the incident.
