Japanese zoo welcomes twin panda cubs

A giant panda in western Japan has given birth to not one, but two, tiny twin cubs.

A giant panda in western Japan has given birth to twins.

The two sister cubs were born three hours apart at Adventure World Zoo in the Wakayama prefecture.

Both weighed in at about 180 grams but when fully grown, female pandas can weigh as much as 125 kilograms.

The twins were yet to be named and brought the total number of giant pandas at the zoo to 7.
