Retiring Manly prop Jason King is set for a Brookvale Oval farewell home game after having a reckless high-tackle charge downgraded at the NRL judiciary.

The news wasn't so good on Wednesday night for injury-hit Penrith, with the Panthers' playing stocks dealt another blow after prop Jeremy Latimore's unsuccessful bid to get a crusher tackle charge downgraded.

Latimore had been hit with a grade-two charge of dangerous contact - unnecessary head/neck pressure on Melbourne's Bryan Norrie from their Monday night clash and will have to sit out the two remaining regular-season games ahead of the finals series.

King would have missed his Brookvale farewell in front of home fans if he had failed in his challenge to reduce a grade-two charge after a hit last weekend on Parramatta second-rower Tepai Moeroa.

The Sea Eagles host the Panthers on Sunday afternoon.
