A man accused of killing Queensland schoolgirl Jayde Kendall has had his case mentioned in court.

Brenden Jacob Bennetts, 19, is charged with one count each of murder and interfering with a corpse, and was remanded in custody following a hearing at Ipswich Magistrates Court on Wednesday afternoon.

Outside court, his lawyer Brendan Ryan told journalists it was impossible to make a Supreme Court bail application because he only had access to what was effectively a summary of police allegations.

The matter will return to court on December 16.
