Australia's women's Rugby League team, the Jillaroos, have touched down in Sydney this morning following their historic World Cup win.
And for many Jsquad members, the enormity of their achievement was just beginning to sink in.
"Excellent, it's the best feeling in the world... can't explain it," says Jillaroo prop Rebecca Young.
The road to glory was no easy feat, coming up against New Zealand who have held the world cup since the tournaments inception 13 years ago.
The Jillaroos long and winding journey to The World Cup has been one of sacrifice.
With the game still an amateur pursuit, what they acheived is dwarfed by what they have had to give up.
"Across the board Girls have had to quit jobs, rearrange jobs and not get promotions," says Jillaroo centre Jo Barrett.
"There are lots of mothers in our team and they have young children. There has been a lot of things along the way and I think a lot of potential house deposits that have otherwise funded amateur rugby league."
This tournament was the first time the NRL has fully funded a Jillaroos World Cup trip.
And as an added reward, the players and their new silverware will be on display prior to tonight's State of Origin decider in Sydney.
"It's really great they are recognising the women's game on such a stage so it's a great honour to do that," says Ms Barrett.
