Jimmy Barnes records with Keith Urban

Jimmy Banes has flown to Los Angeles to work on his new album alongside fellow Australian Keith Urban.

Jimmy Barnes is recording with fellow Australian Keith Urban in the US this week.

Barnes flew to Los Angeles last week to work on his next record at Revolver Studios.

The Aussie rocker recently announced that he was about to start work on his new album with ex-pat Australian Kevin Shirley.

The new album is expected to be a sequel to Barnes's 2009 album The Rhythm and The Blues, produced in Los Angeles with Don Gehman.

The album peaked at no. 1 on the ARIA chart and sold platinum in Australia.

Barnes's last studio album was Rage And Ruin in 2010. His last solo release was the download Pleasure House written with Jackson Freud.

The last album Barnes recorded with Cold Chisel was No Plans, released in 2012. Barnes has also revealed that a new Cold Chisel album is possible during 2014.
