Job vacancies highest in over three years

Job vacancies have risen 3.1 per cent between November and February, according to the latest ABS survey.

The number of jobs advertised has hit its highest level in almost three and a half years, official figures show.

A survey by the Australian Bureau of Statistics shows there were 172,900 vacancies in February, up 3.1 per cent from November, seasonally adjusted figures show.

The survey is conducted every three months.
