Colourful American golfer John Daly topped off a week in which he became engaged by winning his first title for 10 years on Saturday.

The 1991 PGA champion and 1995 British Open winner carded a 15-under-par total to win the Beko Classic in Turkey, a three-round pro-am event.

Daly, 48, and married four times already, announced earlier this week that he had got engaged to longtime girlfriend Anna Cladakis.

On Saturday, he carded a final-round 72 for a three-round total of 201 and a one-shot winning advantage over Robert Coles.

Some media reports claimed that he donated his modest $US8000 ($A8,600) prizemoney to a local charity.

Daly's last title came at the 2004 Buick International.
