Steve Johnson remains confident he will be right to play in Geelong's AFL semi-final on Friday night.
Johnson missed the Cats' last three games of the regular season, but returned for their qualifying final against Hawthorn.
The 31-year-old started excellently but faded as the game wore on. Cats coach Chris Scott has revealed Johnson's right foot is still not right.
"That foot's going to be a problem for us ... (he is) in doubt, certainly," Scott said after the game.
Johnson was decidedly more upbeat on Saturday morning at the club's recovery session.
"I might be in a bit of doubt but I'm pretty confident I'll play," Johnson told Fox Sports News.
"I feel fine."
Cats captain Joel Selwood said his club would know more about the extent of Johnson's foot injury later in the week.
"He was sore. He is actually pretty good at the club this morning," Selwood told radio station 3AW on Saturday.
"We'll wait and see."
Steven Motlop was also limited during the Cats' 36-point loss, having limped off the field in the second term with a sore ankle.
"I don't have any information around his availability (for next week's semi-final)," Scott said.
"Given that he played out the game, that's a positive."
