Mitchell Johnson, man of the match in Australia's win over England in the first Ashes Test in Brisbane, is back in the top 20 of the ICC player rankings.
In latest update released on Monday - a day after Australia took a 1-0 lead in the five-match series - Johnson's match figures of 9-103 propelled him four places up the Test bowler rankings to be in 19th position.
Johnson also notched up vital scores of 64 and 39 not out. His efforts with the bat resulted in a jump of 20 spots to 78th in the new Test batting rankings.
The other Australian bowler to move up the chart is offspinner Nathan Lyon, who returns to the top 20 in 18th position (up by three).
For England, the biggest mover is Stuart Broad, who is back in the top 10 - up four places to seventh. Broad returned figures of 6-81 and 2-55. England's Chris Tremlett makes a return in 32nd place.
South Africa's Dale Steyn continues to head the bowlers' table with teammate Vernon Philander second and Sri Lanka's Rangana Herath third.
Australian captain Michael Clarke moves up one place to fourth on the ladder for Test batsmen.
Clarke notched up his 25th Test hundred with 113 in the second innings of the Brisbane Test. Before the start of the series, Clarke had his sights set on reclaiming the No.1 ranking and is 39 ratings points behind the incumbent AB de Villiers. England captain Alastair Cook also returns to the top 10, moving up one place to 10th.
Australia's David Warner makes it into the top 20 for the first time in his career, jumping 18 places to 17th following his knock of 124 in the second innings in Brisbane. Wicketkeeper Brad Haddin in 42nd (up by 14) is the only other batsman outside the top 20 to make an upward movement.
