England coach Eddie Jones has accused the Wallabies camp of running an organised campaign to unsettle his team through their Test series.
England drew first blood with an historic 39-28 win over Australia in the opening Test in Brisbane and can clinch the Cook Cup with a victory in Melbourne on Saturday.
But Jones believed his team were fighting a battle off the field as well.
Jones was responding to comments by former Wallaby hooker Phil Kearns who accused England prop Dan Coles of illegal scrummaging in the Brisbane Test.
He also was incensed by a "disrespectful" television promotion as well as an offensive question asked by former Wallaby Stephen Hoiles at the post-match press conference.
Australia coach between 2001 and 2005, Jones said after being in the inner sanctum he knew how the Wallabies worked.
"I've been part of it, I know how it works here," Jones said.
"Phil's part of an organised campaign and he's playing his role and playing a good role.
"We're lucky, we've got a very good referee on the weekend (in Craig Joubert) and he's one of the most respected referees in the world ... I'm sure he will be able to referee the scrums well."
Jones continued to throw barbs at the Wallabies, questioning whether flanker David Pocock was actually out for six weeks with a fractured eye socket.
"I hope he doesn't recover in time for Saturday and you never know," Jones said.
"I don't know whether he's going to be in or out, we'll prepare as if he's going to play."
Jones was predicting a desperate Australia at the AAMI Park Test, with the series on the line.
He said the Wallabies had an impressive record of rebounding after an opening loss.
"History shows in the professional era that the Wallabies have never lost a second Test.
"If you look back at the 2001 Lions series, 2013 Lions series, the Wallabies have always bounced back well," Jones said.
