The publication of a shocking new video being attributed to the so-called Islamic State has prompted an immediate response from Jordan.

Jordanian authorities promised to execute an Iraqi woman the government had sought to exchange for a Jordanian pilot held by the armed group.

Jordan has confirmed the death of pilot Muaz al-Kasaesbeh hours after IS is believed to have released a video purporting to show him being burned alive.
