Barcelona fullback Jordi Alba is out of the squad for Saturday's game at Real Sociedad as a precautionary measure to avoid injury.
Alba strained a muscle in his right thigh in Tuesday's 2-0 Champions League win at Manchester City and coach Gerardo Martino preferred to leave the Spain international at home rather than risk him.
Alba missed more than two months due to a hamstring injury earlier this season.
Martino also left midfielders Sergi Roberto and Ibrahim Afellay out of the team, as well as defender Carlos Puyol.
Barcelona sit top of the Spanish league, tied on points with Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, going into the match at Sociedad, who are fifth and vying for one of the league's Champions League qualifying places.
