Joyce denies bid for $50b rollout

Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is said to be pushing for control of the government's $50 billion infrastructure rollout.

Nationals leader Barnaby Joyce has rejected reports he is pushing for control of the federal government's $50 billion infrastructure rollout.

"I don't know where that story came from, it certainly didn't come from me," he told ABC radio on Tuesday.

Mr Joyce was responding to a report in The Australian that claimed the deputy prime minister was in discussions with colleagues about a possible move to consolidate the portfolio under his authority in an expected cabinet reshuffle in July.
