Joyce recruiting new pesticides boss

Applications are now open to fill the chief executive role of a pesticides agency being forcibly moved to regional NSW after the previous boss declined to move.

Agriculture Minister Barnaby Joyce is talent scouting for a new boss for a pesticides agency being forcibly moved to regional NSW.

Kareena Arthy declined to be relocated to Armidale.

Mr Joyce says applications are now open for the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority chief executive role and close on July 3.

"The coalition government is looking for a suitably qualified person to inspire the... work force, with strong skills to motivate, empower and lead change and who is committed to forging a stronger connection with regional Australia," he said.
