Judd expected to miss Oaks for twins birth

Rebecca Judd says she didn't expect to be attending Oaks Day because her due date for her twins was actually on the same day.

Rebecca Judd was expecting to be a no show at Oaks Day.

The Nine Network personality's due date for her twin boys was November 3, but Tom and Darcy came into the world early.

"It's funny when I found out I was pregnant I looked at my due date and (discovered it was) Oaks Day," she told AAP on Thursday.

"Well, I won't be going to Oaks Day, but here I am."

Judd gave birth to the boys in late September, siblings for Oscar, 5, and Billie, 2.

Despite her husband Chris also in the Birdcage marquees, the two were enjoying the day apart.

Rebecca was a guest at the Myer marquee which was hosting a four-course lunch for successful women.

"I've never walked into a marquee and seen the sit down long tables," she said.

Wearing a light blue and white strapless lace dress and butterfly heels, Judd admits she had a bit of trouble getting into her fitted dress.

"It took me five minutes to get into it, but now it's on and it's all good," she said.

Her butterfly heels were actually the inspiration for her intricate silver headpiece. She says all she had to do was send a photo of the shoes to the milliner to get the ball rolling.

At the other side of the Birdcage, Chris was at the Tabcorp Marquee with his father Andy for a 'Blokes Day' tradition.

"We come every year," he said.

A self-confessed "terrible punter", Chris had a game plan in place.

"I'm going to lose the money and try not to waste too much time thinking about it beforehand," he said.

Away from the babies for the day, he says he and Rebecca will be "facing the music" once they return home.

The duo have been running on empty as the babies keep them up all night.

"They're still doing what babies do, but it's all going well so far," he said.

Still on maternity leave, Rebecca will return to shooting Postcards in January.

But looking after a family of six, she admits she is assessing how much she takes on.

"With having four kids I can't do everything that I used to do," she admits.

"So I'll need to cut back a few things."
