Julian makes commentary gaffe

TV commentator and former Test player Brendon Julian got his tongue tied in hilarious fashion during the presentation of the Sir Frank Worrell trophy.

Former Test player Brendon Julian has made an embarrassing gaffe during the presentation ceremony at the end of Australia's Test series against the West Indies.

Julian was hosting the ceremony following Australia's emphatic 277-run win over the Windies in Jamaica for host broadcaster Ten Sports on Sunday.

The ex-Test quick was about to present captain Michael Clarke with the Sir Frank Worrell Trophy when he appeared to get tongue tied in awkward fashion.

"And the cheque and the trophy for the Sir Wank Forrell Trophy has been retained by Australia," Julian said, pausing as his slip of the tongue sank in.

The incident evoked memories of another former broadcaster, Sandy Roberts, who famously introduced 1981 Miss Australia Leanne Dick as "Leeanne Cock" during a Mount Gambier Cup meeting.

Just like Roberts' gaffe, Julian's on-air stumble is sure to live long in the memory.
